Rwanda – Djibouti
Rwanda and Djibouti enjoy strong bilateral relations. The Ambassador to Ethiopia based in Addis Ababa represents Rwanda to Djibouti and her Ambassador to Ethiopia represents Djibouti. Existing Cooperation is in several areas which include among others the following: Education, Trade, ICT, Migration and in multilateral affairs.
Vision, Mission, and Mandate
The Rwandan Embassy in Addis Ababa covers Ethiopia, Djibouti, the African Union, and the UN Economic Commission for Africa as its jurisdiction. In addition, the embassy cooperates with a few embassies accredited to Rwanda that are resident in Addis Ababa that include New Zealand, Portugal, Georgia, Djibouti, Niger, Sierra Leone, and Lesotho. The Embassy's main mission is to strengthen Rwanda’s international positioning in the AU and UNECA and to facilitate the creation of wealth through more efficient cooperation for development, promotion of investments, tourism, and expansion of the market for made in Rwanda products in Ethiopia and Djibouti.
